Where to buy Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080: Stock updates as they come

I’m not terribly surprised that the three RTX 4080 models still in stock at Box are the rather ugly Palit GameRock OmniBlack models. Still, as long as they play well, who cares how they look?

Back in the US, and at the moment, Micro Center appears to only have RTX 4080 stock in store, rather than being available online, so it’s worth checking to see if there’s a store. near you with stock. It was a convenient way to get an RTX 4090 when other online retailers sold out.

Best Buy seems to be selling out in the US despite many of them saying “coming soon”. Keep an eye out for the Asus NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16GB GDDR6X for $1,549 because it’s coming soon.

It’s much larger than the RTX 3080 and about the same size as the RTX 3090 and 3090 Ti, so make sure your PC has enough space to install this triple-slot GPU.

By the way, I know physical appearance isn’t everything when it comes to GPUs, but the Palit GameRock Midnight Kaleidoscope GeForce RTX 4080 (opens in a new tab) it looks pretty silly to me. Maybe it’ll be nicer in real life, but the pictures on Box’s website make it look a little cheap – which, at £1,399.99, it certainly isn’t.

In the UK, retailer Box appears to have a huge selection of RTX 4080 models (opens in a new tab) to choose.

So when I say “cheapest” I mean they will always be damn expensive.

The Nvidia website is a good way to see stock levels of a variety of RTX 4080 flavors. So not just Nvidia’s default Founders Edition, but also variants made by PNY, Asus, MSI and more. .

These are definitely worth keeping open.

Some retailers have also made it so that only people on a waitlist can buy the GPUs.

For example, B&H has made their stock RTX 4080 “waitlist only” (opens in a new tab). This means that only people who have signed up for stock alerts will be able to purchase one.

The good news is that it’s free and easy to do – click the ‘Notify When Available’ button and add your details to be on the waitlist.

One of the best things you can do while waiting for the RTX 4080 to go on sale is to prep before stock drops. Open the retailer pages at the top of this page in preparation. You may find in the rush to buy an RTX 4080 that websites block and won’t let you in, so it’s essential to have them open and ready to go ahead of time.

The price means it’s not too far off from the RTX 4090 price-wise. So if you’re spending that much money anyway, should you skip the RTX 4080 and go for the RTX 4090 instead?

While that’s what I’d recommend to a lot of enthusiasts, there’s a problem: the RTX 4090 is still extremely hard to buy. Without being able to take stock of the RTX 4090, then the RTX 4080 will be (for a few hours today, at least) the best GPU you can buy right now.

We expect the RTX 4080 to sell out quickly, so you’ll need to be quick.

It was a tough GPU to review, to be honest. While it’s undoubtedly one of the best graphics cards around and performs amazingly in games (outperforming the mighty RTX 3090 Ti), it’s also incredibly expensive. Selling around $1,299 / £1,269 for the Founders Edition, that’s a lot more expensive than the RTX 3080.
